i love the word “enrichment” for self care type stuff bc it reminds me of when i used to volunteer at a dog shelter and they’d always tell us to let the dogs sniff as long as they like when they’re outside bc shelter dogs are pretty under stimulated being in those individual kennels so sniffing is really valuable enrichment for them. and that’s not so entirely different from myself i am the shelter dog who’s spending far too much time inside but i am also the volunteer who has to take me outside and let me sniff things for a while and run around and just generally enrich my own life. what i’m saying is be as kind to yourself as you would be to a shelter dog

Not to out myself as someone that’s been on tumblr for too long, but I’m so sad to see this new trend of people saying “I like this thing, even though the show isn’t airing anymore.” Like? That’s how things work! Keep enjoying them! I just feel like there’s so much push to make aces more… “likable” by saying “well a lot of aces ENJOY sexual stuff, they just don’t wanna have that themselves!”. And like, that’s valid! But I guess some of us aces aren’t as easy to market to allos and we also deserve to be around, y'know :“)

I’ve been pushed a lot/labelled a prude/told I was "boring” because I didn’t want to get into explicit conversations, RPs or draw certain things, and like. Nah. I’m fucking tired of that. Some aces are okay with these topics, some aces aren’t, but if you claim to accept and understand asexuality, you need to respect all of us, not only the aces you think that are “more fun” or “more natural”.
